Long Term Care
LONG-TERM CARE insurance pays for "custodial services" when you need assistance with 2 of the 6 "Activities of Daily Living" - including Transferring, Bathing, Dressing, Eating, Toileting, Continence - or when you suffer cognitive impairment. No health plan nor Medicare will pay for these service. Only Long Term Care (LTC) insurance will. And, LTC will pay for these services in your own home or in an assisted living facility.
Having Long Term Care Insurance can be essential in preventing the rapid erosion of your retirement funds when you or your loved one's time of need arises. And, having Long Term Care insurance in place, when it's needed, will give your family the financial and emotional peace of mind to focus on getting you the best care possible in the place where you'd be happiest.
